Marina Coates is a film critic who has written for LA Weekly, Pasadena Magazine, and Film East, among others. With a background in film studies and philosophy, she brings a sharp, insightful perspective to both mainstream and independent cinema.

Currently, she hosts the film podcast, Marina's Movie Club, where she talks with her friends about their favorite movies and helps casual film lovers learn more about the craft.

When she’s not watching movies, you can find her reading or writing next to her two cats (who are the love of her life), at a Seattle coffee shop, or baking.
